Shape ERP outcomes. Join Fusion5 & help organisations unlock more value from Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
At Fusion5, we're more than a solutions provider - we're Transformation Partners. We help ambitious organisations across Australia and New Zealand go beyond software to unlock more freedom, innovation, and impact from their technology investments. Just as importantly, we bring that same commitment to supporting our people to do their best work.
We're now looking for an experienced Senior Managed Services Consultant to join our growing Dynamics D365 Finance & Operations practice:
This is a senior consulting role, well suited to someone who enjoys variety - blending handson delivery, customer support, system optimisation, and stakeholder engagement in a professional services environment.
You'll play a key role in supporting ERP transformation programmes, acting as an escalation point for complex issues, guiding customers through best practice, and helping them maximise adoption and long‑term value from D365FO. As a trusted advisor, you'll work closely with customers, internal teams, and delivery partners to solve problems and continuously improve outcomes.
What you'll do
Step into a senior role within our Dynamics practice, working across multiple customers and industries. This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing position that combines deep functional expertise with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. You will:
- Act as an escalation point for complex functional and technical D365FO issues, investigating root causes and delivering timely, high‑quality resolutions
- Work directly with users to understand challenges, provide guidance, and recommend system and process improvements
- Deliver training, onboarding, and best‑practice advice across Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Warehouse, Production and related modules
- Create clear and practical user guides, functional documentation, and operational support materials
- Support system administration including LCS, PPAC, workflows, and security configuration
- Configure roles, duties, and privileges in line with best‑practice security standards
- Assist with Electronic Reporting (ER), data management, and integration monitoring
- Build strong client relationships through responsive, tailored support and clear communication
- Identify opportunities for optimisation and enhancements, collaborating on ISVs, integrations, and workflow improvements
- Support enhancements from design through testing and deployment
- Design and customise security roles and work closely with developers on integrations, workflows, ER, ISVs, and extensions
- Lead or support Agile delivery, managing priorities and expectations with stakeholders
- Work effectively with distributed, cross‑functional, and offshore teams
What you'll bring
- 10+ years' experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics ERP, including 5+ years with D365FO
- Full lifecycle delivery experience across industries such as distribution, manufacturing, trade (food, wood, steel), and health
- Strong functional expertise across modules including AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets, Sales, Procurement, PIM, Inventory/Warehouse, Production, HR, Landed Cost, Licensing, and Security
- Hands‑on experience with D365FO, Azure DevOps, LCS, PPAC, ExFlow, Docentric, integrations, ER, and DMF
- Experience leading or managing Scrum teams within Agile delivery environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical, business‑focused guidance
- A collaborative, adaptable mindset and a pragmatic approach to problem solving
- Confidence working across onshore and offshore teams in a consulting environment
Please note only locally based applicants with full legal rights to work in Australia or New Zealand will be considered for this role.
This role is based in New Zealand but you will be working for our Australian Managed Services team and will be required to be work during Australian Business hours.
