We're now looking for a Senior Developer - Finance and Operations to join our Managed Services (Customer Support) team. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) experience who wants to do meaningful work - building and maintaining solutions that keep our customers running at their best. If you're a developer who takes ownership of quality, cares about production stability, and wants to work within a collaborative trans-Tasman practice, this is a great opportunity to grow.

Please note: this role is based in New Zealand and is open to candidates in Auckland and Wellington. It reports into our Australian team. You will be required to work Melbourne business hours (AEST/AEDT) and will be aligned to Australian public holidays. 

What You'll Do
Working within our Managed Services team, you'll be responsible for delivering and enhancing F&O solutions across a range of customers. You'll work closely with delivery leads, functional consultants, and clients to turn requirements into reliable, production-ready software.
 
Technical Design

• Translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions
• Produce clear technical design documentation
• Work closely with functional teams and architecture stakeholders to ensure solutions are fit for purpose
• Support design decisions that reduce unnecessary customisation and align to the wider system landscape

Essential Experience

• Strong hands-on experience across Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
• Proven background in technical consulting / development within enterprise ERP environments
• Experience supporting work across: Finance / ERP, Supply Chain, Sales Orders / Operational process flows
• Ability to come into an active programme and contribute quickly with minimal ramp-up
• Strong experience with X++ development
• Experience with integrations, APIs, and broader Microsoft ecosystem tooling
• Exposure to Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and release processes
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability

 
What You'll Bring
This role suits someone with solid F&O development experience who brings both technical depth and a genuine care for delivery quality. You're likely to bring: 

• Hands-on experience developing within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), including customisations, integrations, and extensions
• Strong knowledge of X++ development, data entities, business events, and the F&O extensibility model
• Experience working across the full software development lifecycle - requirements analysis, build, test, deployment, and production support
• A track record of delivering production-ready solutions with minimal defects and rework
• Experience diagnosing and resolving complex production issues, including root-cause analysis and sustainable fixes
• Sound understanding of version control, change management, and engineering best practices
• The ability to provide clear, accurate technical estimates and manage delivery commitments
• Experience in professional services or managed services environments (advantageous but not essential)
• Strong communication skills - able to connect technical decisions to business outcomes and work confidently with clients and internal stakeholders
• A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with an interest in mentoring and developing others
