We're now looking for an AI Platform Lead Engineer to take full ownership of our AI agent observability platform, which sits at the heart of how Fusion5 delivers AI governance at scale. This is a rare opportunity to own a production SaaS platform end-to-end while working at the cutting edge of enterprise agentic AI.

What You'll Do
You'll take end-to-end ownership of the platform, from full-stack engineering to cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and the multi-tenant model that keeps client data secure. You'll work closely with the CTO of AI Transformation to shape product direction and collaborate with consulting teams to onboard client AI agents seamlessly. You'll work in an AI-tool-first environment, using the Microsoft AI stack and AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code as a normal part of how we build. You will:
- Own and evolve the full platform stack, backend services through to the frontend
- Own the live cloud environment and lead a major managed-database migration, alongside secrets management and enterprise identity
- Build and operate the telemetry ingestion and event-processing pipelines that bring agent data into the platform
- Develop and tune the detection systems that surface anomalies, faults, and policy issues across onboarded agents
- Own the cloud environment, deployment pipeline, CI/CD gate, and platform SLAs
- Apply security best practice across secrets management, identity, network isolation, and least-privilege access
- Partner with consulting teams to onboard client agents and translate field feedback into platform improvements
- Contribute to team structure and hiring as the platform evolves into a commercial product
What You'll Bring
This role suits a senior engineer with the technical depth to own a complex platform and the leadership presence to set direction, someone who's as comfortable in the architecture decision as they are in the pull request. You're likely to bring:
- 8+ years in software engineering with a strong track record in scalable, production-grade platforms
- A demonstrated AI-tool-first way of working: you use AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) and the Microsoft AI stack to ship faster and better, and you bring that ethos to your team
- Expert full-stack TypeScript: Node.js and Express on the backend, React on the frontend
- Solid hands-on Azure experience across compute, networking, identity, and data services
- Strong SQL and relational data modelling, comfortable owning a database migration to managed PostgreSQL
- Hands-on observability and telemetry experience: OpenTelemetry, Application Insights, KQL, event-driven pipelines
- The ability to make pragmatic architectural decisions and explain them clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Exposure to AI agent frameworks, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Google ADK, LangChain, or similar instrumented runtimes
- A fundamental understanding of AI governance and responsible AI practices
- Prior experience taking an internal platform to commercial product (desirable)
