- Build real AI solutions, not slide decks - prototype, test, and prove value quickly inside client organisations
- Work at the cutting edge of AI and automation alongside a modern, enterprise‑grade AI practice
- See your work adopted in the real world - solutions that teams rely on, not experiments that go nowhere
Why this role
Most organisations don’t lack technology - they lack time.
Time lost to manual processes, clunky approvals, and work that should be automated by now. Modern AI has removed many of the old barriers. What’s missing is someone who can spot the opportunity, build something tangible, and help teams actually change how they work.
That’s where this role comes in.
As an AI Automation Consultant at Fusion5, you’ll work directly inside client organisations — observing how work really happens, identifying where AI and automation can make a meaningful difference, and rapidly prototyping solutions that people want to use.
This is not a strategy‑only or slide‑deck role. It’s hands‑on, practical, and impact‑focused.
What you’ll be doing
- Embedded discovery - sitting alongside client teams (finance, operations, service delivery, sales) to understand how work truly flows and where time is being lost.
- Rapid prototyping - building working AI and automation prototypes that demonstrate value early and clearly.
- Challenging the status quo - showing a faster, more practical path from problem to solution than traditional delivery models.
- Partnering for scale - working closely with AI Solution Developers to take proven prototypes into secure, production‑ready solutions.
- Enablement and change - helping client teams build confidence with AI tools and adopt new ways of working.
- Keeping it real - ensuring solutions stand up to governance, security, ROI, and long‑term sustainability.
What we’re looking for
You don’t need a specific job title background — but you do need the right mix of mindset and experience.
- Experience in a consulting or functional role such as business analysis, process improvement, solution design, or project delivery
- Hands‑on exposure to modern automation or AI tools (e.g. Power Automate, Copilot, AI‑assisted development, system integrations)
- The ability to translate between business needs and technical possibilities with confidence
- Strong commercial awareness — you care about value, not just whether something works
- A bias toward action, experimentation, and learning
- Comfort operating in ambiguous client environments and engaging with stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience with AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Power Platform, Zapier, or similar
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms, APIs, and data flows
- Curiosity about concepts like RAG, embeddings, vector databases
- Exposure to ERP, CRM, or professional services environments
- Workshop facilitation or discovery experience
