We’re now looking for a Transformation Strategy Director to help build and scale a market‑leading, AI‑first strategy and advisory capability in Australia. This is a senior advisory role for someone who enjoys setting direction by being close to the work - earning influence through delivery and visible impact, while naturally shaping the future of the practice in a fast-changing AI world.

What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in the growth of Fusion5’s Transformation & Strategy practice, working alongside senior leaders to shape its evolution into a differentiated, commercially strong advisory capability serving the upper mid‑market. You’ll position Fusion5 as the go-to partner for AI-led transformation, combining deep advisory capability with practical execution and a strong client-first consulting culture. Expect to:
- Lead from the front by personally delivering complex, AI‑led strategy and transformation engagements, grounded in real business impact
- Act as a trusted advisor to C‑suite stakeholders, guiding decisions on operating model design, technology strategy and future‑ready transformation
- Shape and deliver transformation strategies that balance AI opportunity with practical execution, including future‑state operating models and roadmaps
- Build robust business cases and investment plans that translate strategy (including AI initiatives where relevant) into funded, executable programmes
- Play a key role in converting strategic advisory engagements into long‑term programmes across the wider Fusion5 portfolio
- Influence the development of Transformation & Strategy offerings, playbooks and ways of working through hands‑on client insight
- Naturally take on broader leadership, mentoring and capability influence as the practice and team grow
- Represent Fusion5 externally through executive relationships, industry forums and thought leadership activity
What You’ll Bring
This role suits a senior strategy consulting leader who enjoys combining hands‑on advisory work with the genuine curiosity about what AI makes possible. You’re likely to bring:
- Proven experience delivering executive‑level strategy and transformation engagements
- Background in strategy consulting or Big 4‑style advisory environments, with confidence operating at Board and C‑suite level
- Commercial acumen and experience contributing to pipeline development and deal conversion
- AI fluency, including hands‑on use of AI tools, agentic systems and AI‑led methodologies in client‑facing work
- The ability to connect technology and AI initiatives to clear business outcomes and ROI
- Gravitas, credibility and strong executive presence
- A collaborative mindset and appetite to help build consulting capability over time
