Pocket Square were tasked with migrating Superette to Shopify Plus as part of a major digital transformation project, moving them away from Blackpepper to a system that could scale with them.
The result? A slick and scalable site that not only reflects the brand, but also ensures a seamless customer journey, set to see Superette through their chapter and beyond.
The problem
The original site was built using Blackpepper, a proprietary platform based here in New Zealand.
The Superette team found the platform incredibly limiting in their ability to adapt their customer experience quickly and cost-effectively.
On top of that, using a proprietary system meant Superette was missing out on innovative new solutions like Shop Pay and integrations into other key business systems, ultimately stifling growth and hurting the customer experience.
The solution
Pocket Square by Fusion5 worked closely with the eCommerce, Brand and Marketing teams to design a refreshed Superette experience, using GA4, Hotjar and other qualitative data sources to inform all design decisions.
Given Superette was moving from a proprietary system that controlled most aspects of their business, this wasn’t just a simple website rebuild. Most of Superette’s business systems needed to change to accommodate Shopify Plus, and the needs of the business moving forward.
That meant warehousing, shipping and logistics were all up for grabs.
Pocket Square by Fusion5 worked closely with Superette and Convergence to plan and action a complete tech stack transformation from a monolithic structure to a fully cloud-based model where each system is doing the job it was designed for.
The result
Superette now have full control over their eCommerce experience, using the power of Shopify Plus and Online Store 2.0.
This has given their internal team and new lease on life, and allowed them to create a more on-brand customer experience as new products, brands and seasons change.
