We're continuing to grow our Shopify Commerce team and are looking for a Solution Architect to play a key role in how we shape, design and position Shopify solutions for our customers. This is a customer-facing, commercially aware role sitting at the intersection of presales, strategy and architecture.
You'll work closely with clients to understand where they're trying to get to, help them navigate platform decisions, and design solutions that are not only technically sound but genuinely move the needle commercially.
This is an opportunity to step into a team at the forefront of Shopify in ANZ — with the ability to influence how we design solutions, engage customers, and continue to build out our capability as the practice grows.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you'll partner with customers and internal teams to design and shape end-to-end Shopify solutions — from early discovery through to handover into delivery. You'll act as a trusted advisor during presales, helping customers make confident, informed decisions. You will:
- Partner with customers to understand their commerce goals, challenges and wider technology landscape
- Lead discovery sessions, workshops and solution discussions across both business and technical stakeholders
- Design scalable, future-ready Shopify solutions, including Shopify Plus and headless/composable approaches
- Translate complex requirements into clear solution designs across integrations such as ERP, PIM, OMS, payments, logistics and marketing platforms
- Support sales opportunities through solution shaping, proposal input and solution presentations
- Act as the key technical voice during presales, influencing decision-making and helping shape customer outcomes
- Work closely with delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition from presales into implementation
- Stay across Shopify and wider commerce trends, bringing new ideas and practical innovation into customer conversations
What you'll bring
This role will suit someone who is both technically strong and commercially aware — someone who enjoys engaging customers, shaping solutions, and influencing outcomes. You'll bring:
- 5+ years' hands-on experience delivering end-to-end Shopify solutions, with strong expertise across the Shopify ecosystem, including integrations
- Proven experience in Solution Architecture, Presales or Technical Consulting within a commercial or services environment
- A solid understanding of modern commerce architecture, including APIs, headless or composable approaches
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value
- Strong communication skills across workshops, presentations and customer discussions
- A consultative mindset — comfortable asking the right questions, challenging thinking and guiding customers
- Experience working alongside sales and delivery teams in fast-paced, client-facing environments
