Our Managed Services team plays a critical role post go‑live, supporting customers with ongoing optimisation, support, and trusted advisory services across their D365 Finance environments.

We’re now looking for a Senior Managed Services Consultant - D365 F&O Finance to join this team. This is a senior, customer‑facing role that blends deep functional expertise, problem-solving, and continuous improvement, without the pressure of constant project delivery or on‑site work.

What you’ll do

This role sits at the intersection of finance expertise, customer support, and system optimisation. You’ll partner closely with customers to ensure their finance processes, reporting, and system behaviour are accurate, compliant, and aligned to real‑world business needs. You will:

• Act as the escalation point for complex D365 Finance & Operations issues across Production, UAT, and Sandbox environments, diagnosing root causes and delivering sustainable, business‑focused solutions.
• Manage and prioritise multiple support cases, incidents, and service requests end‑to‑end, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication within SLAs.
• Provide senior‑level functional support across core D365 Finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash & Bank Management, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, and Financial Dimensions.
• Validate financial postings, subledger‑to‑GL flows, and period‑end processes to ensure accounting accuracy, reconciliation, and audit readiness.
• Deliver and support financial statements, management reports, and statutory outputs within D365FO.
• Apply functional expertise in ISV ExFlow, including invoice processing, workflow approvals, posting behaviour, exception handling, and reporting validation.
• Support Electronic Reporting (ER), Data Management Framework (DMF), and finance‑related integrations as required.
• Apply strong Australian tax and GST knowledge, supporting GST configuration, reporting, reconciliation, and compliance within D365FO.
• Support functional testing for D365FO updates and changes, contributing to test plans, validation, and release readiness.
• Focus on end‑user experience and adoption, guiding users through finance processes, reporting outputs, and system changes in a practical, intuitive way.
• Identify recurring issues, system risks, and optimisation opportunities, contributing to continuous improvement across customers, documentation, and support practices.
• Share knowledge and best practice across the Managed Services team, supporting capability uplift and consistent delivery quality.
• Build trusted, long‑term customer relationships through confident, professional, and business‑focused delivery.

What you’ll bring

You’re an experienced, customer‑focused consultant who enjoys working in a managed services environment - balancing technical depth with practical problem‑solving and strong stakeholder engagement. You’ll have:

• At least 6 years’ functional experience in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, ideally in a managed services or consulting environment.
• Strong knowledge of finance and accounting processes, including Australian tax and GST requirements.
• Hands‑on experience across core D365 Finance modules and financial reporting.
• Experience supporting finance‑related integrations and DMF, with mandatory ISV ExFlow experience.
• Electronic Reporting (ER) experience (strongly preferred).
• Experience managing D365 environments within PPAC/LCS (including backups, restores, and environment administration) (preferred).
• Basic project management experience, with an understanding of timelines and customer coordination (preferred).
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and confidence managing complex customer scenarios.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to engage with senior SMEs and executive stakeholders, translating complex issues into clear, business‑focused outcomes.
