This role is for a senior engineer who has deliberately leaned into AI‑assisted development and knows how strong engineering principles make AI output better, not weaker.
At Fusion5, you’ll work hands‑on delivering production‑grade, agentic AI solutions for enterprise clients across Australia. You won’t be experimenting in isolation - you’ll be shipping real solutions, with real accountability, alongside architects and consultants who value technical excellence.
What you’ll be doing
- Design, build and deploy agentic AI solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio and multi‑agent frameworks
- Apply spec‑first, AI‑assisted development - owning all code that ships
- Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems (APIs, Dataverse, D365, SharePoint, M365)
- Own end‑to‑end technical delivery across client engagements
- Present and defend technical approaches with confidence and pragmatism
About you
You’re confident explaining technical ideas to non‑technical stakeholders and comfortable engaging in client conversations when it counts. You bring calm, pragmatic judgement to delivery, know when to hold a technical position and when to adapt, and stay focused under shifting priorities. Collaborative by nature, you work well in cross‑functional teams while stepping up to lead when needed, and you’re genuinely curious about how AI is reshaping software engineering - not just in theory, but in practice.
What you bring
- 5+ years’ software engineering experience, including commercial AI or agentic solutions
- Strong Python and/or TypeScript skills
- Hands‑on experience with LLM APIs, tool use, structured outputs and orchestration frameworks
- Solid Azure capability and familiarity with RAG, vector search and enterprise data
- Clear engineering standards - applied just as rigorously to AI‑generated code
- The judgement to know when to hold the line, and when to adapt
