About the Role
You’ll design, build, and optimise enterprise-grade reporting and analytics solutions that enable data‑driven decision-making. Working across Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI, you’ll collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality BI assets and analytical models.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Synapse Pipelines, Fabric Data Factory, and Dataflows
- Develop analytical data models across Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Synapse
- Design and deliver Power BI dashboards, semantic models, DAX measures, and Power Query transformations
- Manage Power BI workspaces, datasets, RLS security, gateways, and refresh schedules
- Translate business requirements into scalable analytics and BI solutions
- Ensure data quality, governance, documentation, and performance optimisation
- Optimise SQL queries, pipelines, and DirectQuery / Direct Lake models
What You’ll Bring
- Strong SQL skills and experience with modern ETL/ELT tools
- Advanced Power BI expertise (DAX, M, semantic modelling, dataflows, incremental refresh)
- Hands‑on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (Serverless/Dedicated SQL, Pipelines, Spark)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Dataflows Gen2)
- Solid understanding of data warehousing and modelling concepts
- Bonus: Python for scripting and automation
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or similar
- 3+ years of experience in analytics, BI, or data engineering roles
Nice to Have
- Enterprise semantic models in Power BI / Fabric
- CI/CD and DevOps or Git integration for BI and Fabric assets
