# UI/UX Shopify Designer - Commerce

- Collaborate across strategy, ecommerce, and delivery to push the boundaries of great design.
- Own the design process end-to-end across branding, websites, and Shopify migrations.
- Turn ideas into compelling, high-converting experiences that go beyond what clients imagined.

We're looking for a UX/UI Designer who cares about the experience of the people using the products and platforms they design. You'll work at the intersection of design, technology, and customer insight partnering with developers, consultants, ecommerce strategists, and clients to create experiences that are intuitive, visually compelling, and built to perform.

This isn't a role where you sit at the end of the process. You'll be involved from the very start translating client requirements into clear design briefs, running workshops, shaping concepts, building prototypes, and presenting ideas with confidence. You'll work across a wide range of engagements including branding, website improvements, rebuilds, and Shopify migrations, so no two projects will look the same.
 
**What You'll Be Doing**

- Translating client requirements into clear, actionable design briefs and owning the design process end-to-end across branding, websites, and Shopify migrations
- Creating user flows, journey maps, wireframes, site maps, priority charts, content architectures, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes that align with client goals and budgets
- Building mood boards and visual concept presentations that bring the vision to life before a pixel is placed
- Designing visually appealing, consistent, high-converting interfaces that stay true to each client's brand identity
- Using data insights to inform and continuously optimise UX/UI decisions
- Presenting concepts and final designs clearly, guiding clients toward the most appropriate solution with confidence and rationale
- Workshopping UX/UI concepts internally and with clients or third parties
- Iterating on designs based on client and stakeholder feedback to deliver high-quality outcomes every time
- Collaborating with the Ecommerce Strategist on strategic initiatives and client roadmaps
- Working with Project Managers to estimate effort, manage time within agreed budgets, and proactively flag when scope is shifting
- Preparing and maintaining design-related client documentation and providing content support where needed
- Evolving and improving Fusion5's design framework over time
- Maintaining organised file structures, naming conventions, and asset management practices
- Contributing to sales proposals, providing client training, and supporting the wider team where needed
- Tracking billable and non-billable time accurately and identifying and raising risks early

**What You Bring**
Beyond the tools, you're someone people trust, you listen well, communicate clearly, and follow through. You're comfortable making good calls without the full picture, you flag risks early, and you don't wait to be told when something needs attention. You're a fast learner who enjoys unfamiliar problems, works collaboratively without losing your own perspective, and keeps the user front and centre from the first workshop to the final build.

- 3-5 years of experience in a similar UX/UI role
- Strong command of Figma and Miro
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Solid understanding of interaction design, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
- Experience delivering design within structured project environments
- Strong knowledge of Shopify and ecommerce
- Motivated to keep growing, including embracing AI-assisted design tools
