# Analytics & AI Consultant - Data and Integration

We're looking for an Analytics & AI Consultant to join our New Zealand Data & Analytics team in Auckland or Wellington (Christchurch also considered). This is a role for someone who owns the analytics and reporting layer clients actually see Power BI, semantic models and data storytelling and who's excited to help clients adopt practical, front-end AI on top of trusted data.

**What You'll Do**

You'll be a key link between the business and the technical team; running workshops, shaping requirements, and turning business questions into clear insight and practical AI. You'll stay hands-on across the Microsoft Fabric and Azure stack, and help lift the team's analytics and AI capability.

- Design and build analytics and reporting solutions strong data modelling, Power BI semantic models and DAX, dashboards and data storytelling on Microsoft Fabric and Azure
- Help clients adopt practical, front-end AI Copilot, Copilot Studio, Fabric Copilot and Data Agents, and Azure AI Foundry on well-governed data, and support them on AI governance and responsible AI
- Lead requirements and workshops, and act as a key link between business and non-technical stakeholders and the technical team
- Work T-shaped flexing across the Fabric/Azure data-engineering stack (with Databricks or Snowflake also valued) so analytics sits on solid foundations
- Champion AI in how we deliver and in the solutions we offer clients
- Support presales and solution shaping, and contribute to the team's standards, reusable assets and knowledge base

**What You'll Bring**

- Solid analytics/BI and reporting delivery in a consulting or client-facing environment (Senior Consultant level; strong Consultant-level candidates also considered)
- Strong data modelling, dimensional and semantic-layer / tabular as a core skill, and strong Power BI (semantic models, DAX, visualisation and storytelling)
- Practical, hands-on experience with AI enablement, primarily Microsoft front-end AI (Copilot / Copilot Studio, Fabric Copilot / Data Agents, Azure AI Foundry), with other AI stacks also valued — and a genuine drive to help clients adopt AI
- Some grip on AI governance and responsible AI
- Strong consulting and functional skills workshop facilitation, requirements and stakeholder management with a proactive, business-first approach
- Strong SQL and hands-on experience with the Microsoft Fabric semantic layer (DirectLake / Power BI in Fabric)
- Data-engineering versatility (T-shaped), with Databricks or Snowflake a bonus
- The legal right to work in New Zealand and the ability to engage with clients across the country

Broader Fabric/Azure engineering and dbt, Copilot Studio agent building, responsible-AI and data governance tooling (such as Microsoft Purview), Python, and relevant certifications — PL-300, DP-600/700, AI-102, AI-900 and SQL AI Developer Associate (DP-800) are all strong advantages.
